THE OBJECTS MOST'TO BE DESIRED J _ IN EFFECTING A LIFE ASSURANCE . —These are , Perfect Security and tho LargcstUenelits in proportion to the Contributions paid . They are both fully attained in the SCOTTISH EQUITABLE LIFE ASSURANCE SOCIETY , which is now of Twenty-six years' standing , and possesses Accumulated Funds , arising from the contributions of Members only , amounting to upwards of One Million Sterling , and has an Annual Revenue of upwards of 17 ti , 000 Z . The MUTUAL PRINCIPLE "being adopted , the entire surpluses or " Profits , " as ascertained Triennially , are allocated in addition to the sums Assured , and they present a llattering prospect to the Members . For example : the sum now pavable on a Policy for 100 U 2 ., effected in 1831 , is 15901 . 5 s . Sd ., " being a return of Seventy-one per Cent , on the premiums paid on middle-aged lives , and Policies effected in later years are similarly increased . The NEXT TRIENNIAL DIVISION of . PROFITS will take place on 1 st MARCH , 1859 . Head OlDce , 2 G , St . Andrew-square , Edinburgh . ROB'T . CHRISTIE , Manager . WM . FINLAY , Secretary . London Office , 20 , Poultry , E . C .
