The following Report was presented . ;—"With much satisfaction the Diroctors again meet the Proprietors of the Bank , to place before them the state of their affairs , and the Profit and Loss Account for tlio Halfyear ending the 31 st December , 185 < 5 . The Proprietors will perceive that , including the sum of 25 . O 86 Z . 18 s . 6 d . brought forward on the 30 th of Juno last , there is a net balance of 84 , 217 f . 4 s- 9 & ., which the Directors have appropriated as follows , viz .: — & s . d . 37 , 500 0 0 to the payment of a Dividend of GJ . 5 s . per cent , for the half-year ( being at the rate of 12 £ per cent , per annum ) upon 600 , 0 OOZ ., the paidup Capital . 46 , 500 0 0 to the payment of an additional Bonus of 15 s . Cd . per Share , and 217 4 9 to the credit of the Guatantee Fund-84 , 217 4 9 With this addition , tlic Guarantee Fund amounts to 105 , 932 ? . 13 s . lOd . The following gentlemen retire from , the direction by rotation , viz .: — William Miller Christy , 32 sq . Francis Bennett Goldney , Esq . William Ormsby Gore , iSsq ., M . P . . Henry Grace , Esq ., and Thomas Tilson , Esq . all of whom offer themselves for re-election . The Dividend and . Bonus ; free from income-tax , will he payable on and after Friday , the 23 rd inst . The preceding report having been read to the meeting by the Secretary , a Dividend for the half-year ending the 31 st of December last , after the rate of 12 Z- 10 s . per cent , per annum , aud a further division of 15 s . Gd . per Share out of the net profits of the year ending as above , were declared by the Chairman .
