1 TF 4 TTH LONG LIFE , AND HAPPINESS , SECURED BY THAT POPULAR MEDICINE NO Medicine yetoffered to the world ever so rapidl y attainedsuch distinguished celebrity : it is questionable if there be now any part of the civilised globe where its extraordinary healing virtuss have not been exhibited . This signal snows' is not attributable to any system of adreftiiing , but solely to the strong recommendations of parties cured by their use . The Proprietors of Parr ' s Life Pill ' s have now in their possession upwards of fifteen hundred letters , several of them from Clergymen of the Church of England , many from distinguished issenting UmisteTB , from gsntusmeu connected with the Army and Navy , also from Members of Parliament , Merchants , and last , though notleast , from members of the Medical Profession , and a skilful Analy tical Chemist ; all speaking in rhehig besttermKof the valucof this inestimable medicine . This it a mass of evidence in its favour beyond all parallel . The extraordinary properties of this medici . ieare thus described by an eminent physician , who says , " After particularobservation of the action of Parr ' s Pills , I am determined , in my opinion , that the following are their true properties : — "First—They increase the strength , whilst most other medicines have a weakening effect upon the system . Let any one take from three to four or six pills every twentyfour hours , and instead of baring weakened , they will be found to have revived the animal spirits , and to have imparted a lasting strength to the body . "Secondly—In their operation they go direct to the disease . After you have taken six or twelve pills you will experience their effect ; the disease upon you will become hss and lvss by every dose you take , and if you persevere in regularly taking from three to six pills every day , your disease will speedily be entirely removed from the system . " Thirdly—They are found after giving them a fair trial fora few weeks to possess the most astonishing and invisoratiug properties , and they will overcome all obstinate complaints , and restore sound health ; there is a return of good appetite shortly from , the beginning of their use whilst their mildness as a purgative is a desideratum greatly required by the weak and delicate , particularly wkere violent purging is acknowledged to be injurious instead of beneficial . Fourthly—As a general Family Medicine they are exceedingly valuable , and no family should be without them ; they may be used with perfect safety in any disease , for to every disease they are of inestimable value . Mm Dale , Esq ., of Manchester , Lecturer on Chemistry , and Pupil of the late celebrated Dr . Dalton , F . R . S ., in a letter addressed to the Proprietors in London , says : —* t beg to state I find them worthy of being recommended to the public fo r their efficacy and simplicity , and to be really vegetablepiils , containing , as they do , nothing but what is of vegetable origin . With this assurance the public need have »• fear of giving them a fair trial . "Fifthly—There is no medicine ever introduced to the public that has become so universally popular with females as Parr ' s Life Pills . For all complaints peculiar to females they are of most astonishing efficacy ; and they are confidently recommended to them for general use . A trial of a box of these pills will at once prove the truth of this assertion . IMPORTANT TO THE PUBLIC . " We consider we are performing an act of humanity to the community of Van Bieman ' s Laud in acknowled ging that statements have been made to us by several persons who have taken Parr s Life Pills , with the most beneficial effect to them . Accounts of their efficacy have be-sn furnished us by various individuals who have taken them , since the supply furnished by the patentees in Engfend to Mr . Bowling ; hut they have generally savoured s ( much of the marvellous , that we have hesitated to mike the statements public . However , we are now satisfied from further accounts g iven to us , that tohesitatelonger would be perpetrating an act of crimiual omission to our fellow , creatures , and having taken the pills ourselves with the most satisfactory result , we perform an act of dcty onl y in most strongly recommending the use of them to the public at large . This we feel the more confidence iu doing . knowing that under any circumstances they cannot do harm ; and our conscientious belief is , ttiat they cannot bj taken by any person without doing hira good . " —Corairall ( Van . DkmarCs Land ) Gazette . Dec . 23 rd , 8 « . The medicine of Old Parr is the most popular of the present day . It has been before the public only a few years ; and in this short period has firmly established itself in public favour , and has efitctcd immense benefit to all who have obtained thie inestimable medicine genuine . Hence the list of rf ~ . rotable names bearing evidence to the high character oi this rers < . Jy , and testifying beymd the possibility of doubt the wonderful character of the medicine by the numoer of extraordinary and decided cures wholly resulting from its use . This medicine , solely by reason of its high character , has extended itself to all parts of the world ; and therefore its healing virtues may justly be considered universal . Agents are now established in every town in the United Kingdom , and persons desirous of testing the character of Parr ' s Life Pills may obtain printed copies of authenticated Testimonials , relating satisfactory particulars of cures effected by this remedy . The following is a list of Wholesale agents : London—Edwards , St . Paul ' s Churchyard BarcIayandSons , Farriugdon-street ; Suttou , BowCliurcliyard . Manchester—Mottershead and Co ., Market-place . One highly respectable gentleman in Stamford has experienced the most wonderful benefit in a severe and obstinate asthma , with which ho has been troubled fov the last twenty years . Calling at my shop the other day , he told me that he had a few days previous caught a bad cold , and by taking two or three of the waters on going to bed , he found the cough entirely removed the nextday , I have sold dostenstof boxes entirely through his recom . mendatioti ; I have pleasure in adding that the gentle , man is willing to give all the information possible to parties who maybe suffering from the same disease , and ou application to me I may give his name . R . Eaglet . CURES IN SHEFFIELD . From Mr . A . Whittaker , bookseller , 1 , Forgate , Sheffield , Jan . 2 , 1 S 1 C . Gentlemen—Numberless parties in and around Sheffield , have found the greatest benefit from Dr . Locock ' s Pulmonic Wafers . Among the rest a gentleman , who has been a leading actor on the Sheffield stage upwards of twenty years , assured me that he always kept by him a box of Loceck ' s Wafers , whether at home or when travelling to distant towns , as being the best and readiest remedy he can get for colds and hoarseness , so peculiarly troublesome in bis profession . And the gentleman , who lives at Pitsmoor , lias bt-en for years much subject to illness from colds , and he declares that during a number of years he has tried almost every medium that he has heard of for coughs and colds , but none bad been of material service to him until he tried Locock ' s Wafers , which at once cured him . Yours , A . WHITTAKER . ANOTHER CURE Of COUGH AND COLD . 4 , Princes-street , Hull , Dec . 3 , 1815 , Dear Sir , — Having received speedy and permanent relief from the use of Dr . Locock ' s Wafers , I beg respectfully to make known my case to you . Last winter I took cold , which brought on a very bad cough ; for some time I neglected it ; it soon , however began to wear a serious aspect . Having an aversion to call iu a medical man , I was easily prerailed upon by a friend to try Dr . Locock ' s wafers . The first box did me so much service that I felt assured it only required a little perseveraace to obtain a perfect cure . It gives me great ple .-isure to inform you that I am how perfectly restored to health by them . Yours truly , C . Panes , To Mr . Reinnardt . ANOTHER CURE OF A FOURTEEN YEARS ' ASTHMATIC COUGH . ABEBNETUY'S PILE OINTMENT . WHAT' a painful aud noxious Disease is the PILES , and comparatively how few of the afflicted have been permanently cured by ordinary appeals to medical skill . This , no doubt , arises from the us . of powerful aperients too frequently administered by the profession ; indeed , strong internal medicine should always be avoided iu all cases of this complaint . The Proprietor ot the above Ointment , after years of acute suffering , placed himself under the treatment of that eminent surgeon , Mr AbernetUy , —was by him restored to perfect health , and has enjoyed it ever since without the slightest roturu of the disorder , over a period of fifteen year ! , during which time the same Aberncthian prescription has been the means of herding a vast number of desperate cases , both iu and out of the Proprietor ' s circle of friends , most of which cases had been under medical care , and some of them for a considerable time . ABEKNETUY'S PILE OINTMENT was introduced to the public by the desire of many who bad been perfectly healed by its application ; and since its introduction , the fame of this Ointment hat spread far and wide ; even the Medicwl Profession , always slow and unwilling to acknowledge the virtues of any medicine not prepared b y themselves , do now freely and frankly admit that ABERNETUY'S PILE OINTMENT is not onl y a valuable preparation , but a never . failing remedy in every stage and variety of that appalling malady . Sufferers will not repent giving the OINTMENT a trial . Multitudes of casts of its efficacy might be produced , if the nature of the complaint did not render those who have been cured unwilling to publish their names . Suld in coverad pots at Is . Bd . with full directions for use , by C . King ( agent to the Proprietor ) , 10 , Napier-Street , Hoxton , New Town , London , where also can be procured every patent medicine of repute , direct from the original makers , with an allowance in takiug six at a time . # # * Be sure to ask for " Abernethy ' s Pile Ointment , " and obsetve the name of C . ^ Kmg on the Government stamp affixed to each pot , Is . fid ., which is the lowest price the proprhtor is enabled to sell it at , owing to the great expense of the ingredients .
