HEALTH , LONG LIFE , AND HAPPINESS , SECURED BY THAT POPULAR MEDICINE NO Medicine yetoffered to the world ever so rapidly attained such distinguished celebrity : it is questionable if there be now any part of the civilised globe where Its extraordinary healing virtues have not been exhibited . This signal success is not attributable to any system of advertising , but solely to the strong recommendations of parties cured by their use . The Proprietors of Parr's Life Pill's have now in their possession upwards of fifteen hundred letters , several of them from Clergymen of the Church of England , many from distinguished issenting Ministers , from gentlemen connected with the Array and Navy , also from Members of Parliament , Merchants , and last , though notleast , from members of the Medical Profession , and a skilful Analytical Chemist ; all speaking in rhehighest terms of the value of this inestimable medicine . This is a mass of evidence in its favour beyond all parallel . The extraordinary properties of this medicine are thus described by an eminent physician , who says , " After particular observation of the action of Parr ' s Pills , I am determined , in my opinion , that the following are their true properties : — " First—They increase the strength , whilst most other medicines have a weakening eifect upon the system . Let any one take from three to four or six pills every twentyfour hours , and instead of having weakened , they will be found to have revived the animal spirits , and to have imparted a lasting strength to the body . " Secondly—In their operation they go direct to the disease . After you have taken six or twelve pills you will experience their effect ; the disease upon you will become less and loss by every dose you take , and if you persevere in regularly taking from three to six pills overy day , your disease will speedily be entirely removed from the system .

Venoreal contamination , if not at first eradicated , will often remain secretly lurking in the system for years , and , although for a while undiscovered , at length break out upon the unhappy individual in its most dreadfu l forms ; or else , unseen , internally endanger the very vital organs of existence . To those suffering from the consequences which this disease may have left behind in the form of secondary symptoms , eruptions of the skin , blotches on the head * ud face , ulcerations and enlargement of the throat , tonsils , - and threatened destruction of the nose , palate , & c ., nodes on the shin bones , or any of those painful affections arising from the dangerous effects of the indiscriminate use of mercury , or tho evils of an imperfect cure , the Concentrated Detersive Essence will be found to be attended with tho most astonishing effects , in cheeking the ravages of the disorder , removing all scorbutic complaints , and effectually re-establishing the IkjMIi of the constitution . To persons entering upon the responsibilities of matrimony , and who ever had the misfortune during their more youthful days to b « affected with any form of those diseases , a previous course of this medicine is highly essential , and of the greatest importance , as more serious affections are visited upon an innocen * wife and offspring , from a want of those simple precautions . than perhaps half the world is aware of ; for , it must be remembered , where the fountain is polluted , the streams that flow from it cannot be pure .

ALL MAY BE CURED i ! - & Y HOLLOWAY'S OINTMENT . FIFTY ULCERS CURED IN SIX WEEKS , EXTRACT ofaLetterfrom John Martin , Esq ., Chronicle Office , Tobago , "West Indies : — February 4 th , 1815 . To Professor Holloway . Sir , —I beg to inform you that the inhabitants of this island , especially those who cannot afford to employ medical gentlemen , are very anxious of having your astonishing medicines within their reach , from the immense benefits some of them have derived from their use , as they have been found here , in several cases , to cure sores and ulcers of the most malignant and desperate kind . One gentleman in this island , who had , I believe , about fifty running ulcers about his legs , arms , and body , who had tried all other medicines before the arrival of yours , but all of which did him no good ; but yours cured him in about six weeks , and he is now by their means alone , quite restored to health and vigour . ( Signed ) John Martin . Piles , Fistulas , and liearin ^ s-doten , A Remarkable Ccke by these Pills and Ointment . —A half-pay lieutenant , lately residing at St . llelier ' s , Jersy , whose name by request is omitted , had for three years suffered from piles and fistula , besides a general bearing down , of the most distressing nature . lie had V * ii ; e undergone an operation , but to no purpose , and at last gave himself up to despair . Yet , notwithstanding this complication of complaints , together with a debilitated constitution , he was completely cured of all his infirmities , and restored to the full enjoyment of health bv these justly renowned medicines , when every other means had failed . BLAIR'S GOUT AMD RHEUMATIC PILLS . A severe case of Rheumatism , communicated by Mr , Allen , Proprietor of the Ab'tiiig / uim Mercury . Mercury Ollice , Nottingham , March 17 , 1845 . Sir , —I have the pleasure of forwarding you the particulars of a case in which BLAIR'S GOUT and RHEUMATIC PILLS have proved eminently successful . A young woman , named Mary Wain , accompanied by her parents , who reside at Watnall , near this town , called upon me on Saturday last , being desirous of making her ease known for the benefit of the public . It appears that Mary Wain had for some years past been a great sufferer from Rheumatism , but that in October last she was more than ordinarily afflicted , so much so that her father fetched her from her place Of service , in order that she might have tho attention of her mother at home ; at that time—to make use of the I mother ' s description , "she could not lift her hand to her | mouth , or her foot the height of sixpence from the floor . " Having heard of Blair ' s Pills , the father purchased a box at my shop about the second week in October ; the Pills took immediate effect , for I am assured by the parents and the girl herself , that on the following day she could not only lift her hand up to feed herself , but she could also move about ou crutches , Since that time she has had five mere boxes of the Pills , and , if I may judge from appearances , is as well as she ever was in her life , and has been so for some months past . You are at liberty to make use ofmy name if you think it will add to the weight of this testimonial . I am , Sir , yours truly , To MrProut 229 Strand Richard Allen

London* Smithfield Cattle Market, Monday...
London * Smithfield Cattle Market , Monday , March 9 . —The past week ' s imports of live stock into the metropolis have been moderately good—viz ., 30 oxen and 119 sheep from Rotterdam , 00 cows from llarlingon , and 70 oxen and cows from other Dutch ports , in , for the most part , fair average condition . To-day we had on oner 220 oxen and cows , together with 190 sheep , recently arrived from the continent . For most qualities of each description of foreign stock the demand was steady , and prices had an upward tendency . The bullock droves from our own grazing districts , fresh up this morning , were very small , yet there was a great improvement in quality , especially in that of the short horns from Norfolk . The attendance of buyers being somewhat numerous , the beef trade was steady at , in most transactions , an advance in the currencies obtained on this day se ' nniglit of 2 d . per S lbs ., the very primest Scots
produring 4 s . Cd . per Slbs ., and at which a good clearance was effected . From Norfolk , Sutlblk , Essex , and Cambridgeshire , we received SoO Scots , homebreds , and short-horns ; from the northern counties , 300 short-horns ; from the western and midland districts , odd llcrefords , Devons , runts , < fcc . ; from other parts of England , 250 of various kinds ; and from Scotland , SO Scots . The numbers of sheep were again limited ; however , the sale for them was active , at Friday ' s enhanced quotations , the primest old downs selling readily at 5 s . Sd . per Slbs . There were about 2 , 500 shorn sheep in the market , which were disposed of at Sd . per S lbs . beneath those in the wool . From the Isle of Wight , ID lambs came to hand per railway . The lamb trade may be considered steady , at prices varying from os . Sd . to 7 s . per S lbs The supply of calves was small , while the veal trade was firm at Friday ' s prices . Pigs moved off iirmly , and last week ' s quotations were well supported .
