The fact is , however , predjudice is fast giving way , aa . it always must w , here the pills are tried . A few cases in point may serve to confirm and illustrate what I have asserted .

SIR , —The Somers Town locality met last night , and the enclosed was carried . In reviewing the balance sheet of the Executive , this meeting feel themselves bound to state they consider it requires some farther explanation , and as at present submitted , displays a wanton and wasteful disregard of the pecuniary difficulties the great majority of the members cf the Association art labouring under . The portions they consider rt quire particular explanation are us follows : — By whose authority was i'Douali ' s wages raised ? How are the agitation expenses incurred , and do not the agitating lectures of the Executive produce any funds , as they eannot find an item in the receipts to
that effect ? Bo the rules of the Association allow all the travelling expenses , or in what proportion ? They consider them enormous , and require to krow why £ . 2 16 s . is charged for the same journey which has been performed for £ -2 2 s ., and auother £ 2 Ws . which had been performed for £ 2 several time * » They find , ailo"wing one-third the letttrs you receive to be unpaid , It leaves 7 s . id . per week , o * eighty-eight letters ' on an average , which they consider a large nurpber . They ¦ w onld suggest the refusal of unpaid letters . They "wish to direct your attention to these cases , end would feel pleasure in seeing them explained in the Star . I remain .
